Once your organization is ready to pursue ISO 9001:2015 certification, the next important step is to register with a trusted Certification Body (CB). Here’s a simple guide to help you through the process:
Choosing the right Certification Body is critical. You must ensure the CB is accredited by a recognized Accreditation Body such as UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), IAS (International Accreditation Service), EGAC (Egyptian Accreditation Council), SCC (Standards Council of Canada), or others. You also need to check that your selected Accreditation Body is an member of IAF in the IAF website.
When selecting the CB, also consider:
Any specific recommendations from your top management, tender requirements, or client expectations.
The CB’s reputation, experience in your industry, and their audit approach.
After selecting a Certification Body, you will need to fill out their Application Form.
Typically, you must provide details like:
Company profile and address
Number of employees
Scope of activities you want certified
Locations involved (if multi-site)
